Which Terminal Handles Your International Flight
O'Hare splits international arrivals across three terminals by airline alliance. Star Alliance carriers, Lufthansa, ANA, Air Canada, and United's own long-haul flights, clear at Terminal 1. OneWorld carriers, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, JAL, Iberia, and American's international flights, clear at Terminal 3. Everyone else, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Korean Air, China Eastern, Turkish, and seasonal carriers, uses Terminal 5, the dedicated international terminal. Each terminal has its own customs facility, so the meeting point depends on the airline.
When you book, give dispatch the airline and flight number and we set the right customs exit. Whether you land at the T1, T3, or T5 customs hall, the chauffeur is standing there with a name placard when you walk out, no searching a rideshare lot, no fumbling with an app after a long-haul flight.
If your party is split across alliances, say one flight into T1 and another into T5. We can stage the chauffeur on the airport loop to gather everyone, rather than running two separate cars.
How We Handle Customs Wait Times
Customs and immigration are the unpredictable part of any international arrival. A single wide-body clears fast; three landing together can push the lines to 60 or 90 minutes. International bookings get 120 minutes of free wait, double the domestic 60, so a slow customs day does not turn into an extra charge.
Passengers with Global Entry skip the standard immigration line and reach the arrivals hall quicker. If your group mixes Global Entry and standard travelers, let us know and the driver plans for the slower clearance so everyone leaves together. For VIP, dignitary, or consulate arrivals we use the premium tier and can arrange a multilingual chauffeur, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Mandarin, or German, with 24 hours' notice.
One rule: pickup happens only after you clear customs. Transit passengers continuing on another international flight without clearing into the U.S. should use the airline's airside transit service instead.
