Getting Around River North

River North runs from the Chicago River up to Chicago Avenue, between the river and State Street. It's the densest restaurant and nightlife pocket in the city, so most of our work here is short-hop and circuit-style rather than long airport runs. A typical Friday is a couple staying at a Mag Mile hotel who want dinner at Bavette's, then a stop at Three Dots and a Dash, then back to the hotel — three points, two hours, no parking headache. Curbside in front of Gibson's on Rush or RPM Steak on Illinois fills up fast, so our drivers stage on the side streets and pull up when you text.

The Merchandise Mart drives a lot of weekday demand. We do executive pickups there for design-trade buyers and tech tenants, plus runs to and from the hotels clustered nearby — Trump International, the Westin River North, Hyatt Centric, and the Conrad. The club strip on Hubbard and Kinzie (Studio Paris, the old Castle block, Spy Bar) keeps us busy past midnight on weekends; a sedan or Escalade waiting outside beats standing in a rideshare scrum on Kinzie at 2 a.m.

Traffic reality: the Ohio and Ontario feeder ramps to I-90/94 back up hard at rush hour, and Kennedy Expressway access is the chokepoint for any airport trip. We pad O'Hare departures from River North hotels by 15-20 minutes during the evening crush. Flat O'Hare runs are $130 sedan; Midway is $130. The trips locals book most from here are date-night charters, hotel-to-restaurant shuttles, and early-morning O'Hare departures for business travelers checking out of the river-district hotels.
