Getting Around the West Loop

The West Loop runs from the river west to Ashland, with Restaurant Row on Randolph and the Fulton Market district to the north. Randolph between Halsted and Ada is the heart of it — Girl & the Goat, Au Cheval, Monteverde, Avec — and tables turn over on tight reservation windows, so a driver who can drop at the door and circle is worth more than a parking app. We run a lot of dinner-and-drinks circuits here where the group hits Randolph, then walks the gallery-and-cocktail blocks of Fulton Market, then heads home without moving a car.

Fulton Market has turned into a corporate hub — Google's Midwest office, McDonald's headquarters, ad and tech tenants — so weekday demand is executive: airport runs, client pickups at the boutique hotels (the Hoxton, Nobu, the Ace), and group transport to dinners. The United Center sits just west on Madison, and game and concert nights are their own pattern; we stage off the side streets because the Madison and Damen approaches lock up before and after events, and a pre-arranged pickup point beats the rideshare crush on the lots.

For airport timing, the West Loop is the closest dense neighborhood to both fields — the Eisenhower (I-290) feeds O'Hare and Midway, and the Kennedy is a short hop north — so runs are quick outside rush hour, flat $130 to O'Hare and $130 to Midway. The trips locals book most here are Randolph Street dinner reservations, Fulton Market corporate pickups, and United Center game-night groups who want a single ride in and out.
