Where United Flies From in Chicago
United Airlines runs its largest hub at O'Hare — not Midway — and operates primarily from Terminal 1, with some flights at Terminal 2. T1 is United's home, split across Concourse B and Concourse C (joined by the underground walkway with the neon light tunnel). Most United domestic flights and United Express regional service run through T1. A portion of United's schedule and some Star Alliance partners use T2, so when the flight is United it is worth confirming the terminal with dispatch by flight number.
United's Star Alliance partners — Lufthansa, ANA, Air Canada — also route through O'Hare, with international flights clearing customs. Those arrivals meet at the customs exit rather than a domestic carousel. United is strictly an O'Hare operation in Chicago; travelers who assume Midway for a United flight are at the wrong airport.
Flying United out of Chicago means a drop at the T1 upper (departures) level, with a buffer built in for ORD security lines and the longer walk from T1's lower-level chauffeur lanes.
For Polaris, 1K, and Premier Members
United's premium flyers — Polaris business and first passengers, MileagePlus Premier Platinum and 1K members — book the VIP S-Class tier most often. A common arrangement is a Polaris arrival into T1, a ride home or to a hotel, and then a return Polaris departure with the same chauffeur. For the return the driver can coordinate around a United Club or Polaris Lounge visit so you are not curbside early.
Delay handling is built in. O'Hare is a connecting hub for United, so arrival times move with weather and connection banks. Because the chauffeur tracks the live flight, a delayed United arrival just shifts the pickup — no missed-pickup penalty, no peak pricing. Sixty minutes of free wait covers normal taxi-and-bag time after landing.
For business travelers, the flat fare keeps the expense receipt predictable. We do not hold a direct MileagePlus partnership, but corporate accounts can route billing through United for Business or Concur for expense-reportable trips, and a multi-day United flyer typically qualifies for a volume discount.
Sorting Out T1 vs T2 and the Ride Downtown
United's split between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 is the one wrinkle worth handling up front. Most domestic flights are T1 across Concourses B and C; some United flights and Star Alliance partners land at T2. Rather than guess, give dispatch the flight number and we set the meeting point — the wrong terminal at O'Hare can mean a 10-minute walk plus the airport transit, which is exactly what a chauffeur is supposed to spare you.
T1 sits past the parking garage at the far end, so the chauffeur lanes are on the lower arrivals level. From there the driver runs I-190 to the Kennedy for downtown at the flat O'Hare rate, watching live traffic to route around congestion. Suburb pricing scales from there. If your group lands split across T1 and T2, one chauffeur stages both pickups on the airport loop.
For an early United departure, we build a buffer for the Kennedy and ORD security and drop at the T1 departures level — the same predictable routine whether it is a 5am flight or a midday one.
