Tailgating the Soldier Field Lots

Bears tailgating runs in the paid lots around Soldier Field on the Museum Campus — the Waldron Deck, the South Lot, and the Adler/Burnham lots along the lakefront. The catch is that the tailgate-friendly surface lots sell out as pre-paid passes well before kickoff, and rolling in by personal car means a real chance of being turned away or parked far from the action. Tailgating itself is allowed in the designated lots, but the lot you can actually get into is the constraint, not whether you brought a grill.

A chauffeur drops your group right at the tailgate area you are set up in and you skip the parking-pass scramble entirely. Our drivers know which Soldier Field lots accept a chauffeur drop versus which require the vehicle to be a personal car with a pass, so tell us where your group is gathering and we plan the drop accordingly. After the tailgate the driver waits during the game and is back at the pickup point when you are ready.

Rates are flat whether it is an early-season game in the sun or a December cold-weather kickoff. Parking, gratuity, and fuel are included.

The Tailgate Cooler and the Group Vehicle

For a tailgate, the vehicle is part of the setup. The SUV covers a group of four to six with the cooler and chairs; the Sprinter handles seven to fourteen with room for the grill and gear; and the 20-passenger party bus turns the ride down to the lakefront into the start of the tailgate. With 24 hours' notice we can have a pre-stocked cooler ready in the vehicle, and for adults 21 and over open container is legal in a licensed Illinois limousine, so the ride down is fair game.

The driver knows the lakefront approaches to Soldier Field and the side-street routing to avoid the worst of the Museum Campus and Lake Shore Drive congestion before kickoff. After the game the chauffeur stages nearby and pulls up within 5 to 10 minutes of your text — ahead of the rideshare surge that hits the campus when the full crowd leaves at once.

Late-night and post-game returns to the NW, SW, and western suburbs run $130 to $165 by suburb and vehicle. One driver, one flat price, no peak pricing — and no designated-driver argument on the way home.
