About IMTS at McCormick Place

IMTS — the International Manufacturing Technology Show — runs at McCormick Place every odd-numbered year in September. It's one of the largest industrial trade shows in the Western Hemisphere, filling all four buildings with machine tools, automation, and metalworking technology and drawing well over 100,000 attendees from manufacturers and machine builders worldwide. The scale is the defining feature: exhibitor crews work the floor for a full week, and buyers cover ground across halls that are a serious walk apart.

With IMTS using the South, North, West, and Lakeside buildings plus Wintrust Arena, knowing which hall and entrance you need is half the battle — our drivers confirm the building before pickup so you're dropped at the right drive rather than hauling across the connector bridges. McCormick Place curb traffic peaks hard at IMTS given the head count, so we stage off the main approaches and come on call.
