Chicago is one of 11 U.S. host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with matches at Soldier Field on the Museum Campus along the lakefront. The tournament runs from mid-June through mid-July 2026 across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and Chicago's group-stage dates draw fans from every continent. Soldier Field seats roughly 61,500, and on match days the surrounding Museum Campus and South Lake Shore Drive fill hours before kickoff.
The stadium has almost no on-site parking for general spectators, and the lots that exist sell out far ahead and empty slowly afterward. Public transit runs to Roosevelt and the Museum Campus, but with tens of thousands arriving in a tight window, the platforms back up. A chauffeur drops you at the Museum Campus entrance, then stages off the immediate footprint so your ride is waiting when the final whistle blows.
We track each match's scheduled kickoff and build in buffer for the security perimeter and street closures around Soldier Field. For groups attending more than one match, we hold the same vehicle across dates so the routine is set after the first day.
Airport, Hotel, Stadium
Many World Cup attendees are flying in from abroad and want one point of contact for the whole trip. We run airport pickup at O'Hare or Midway with a chauffeur holding a name sign at arrivals, hotel check-in transfer, and then match-day transport to Soldier Field. From O'Hare to a downtown hotel is roughly 35-45 minutes; Midway is closer at 20-30 minutes to the South Loop and Museum Campus.
Visitors typically base in the Loop, River North, or the South Loop near the stadium. From those neighborhoods Soldier Field is a short, predictable ride — far easier than learning the CTA on a jet-lagged first day. We can sequence multi-day itineraries that mix match days with sightseeing, dinner reservations, and a return airport run, all on a single confirmed plan.
We coordinate with travelers in advance over email and text so language and timing are settled before anyone lands. Flat fares are quoted at booking, so there is no decoding a surge fare in a currency you don't live in.
Demand Will Outrun Supply
A World Cup match weekend stacks tens of thousands of out-of-town visitors on top of Chicago's normal summer event calendar — festivals, other concerts, and lakefront crowds. Rideshare supply does not expand to match that demand; prices spike and wait times stretch exactly when everyone needs a car at once. A reserved chauffeur removes that variable entirely.
Royal Carriage has handled Chicago group and event transport since 2018, with a 4.9 rating across 512 reviews and more than 8,000 trips completed. Escalade SUVs cover fan groups and families of four to six, the Sprinter van seats up to fourteen for larger traveling parties, and Lincoln sedans handle solo attendees and airport runs. Lock the vehicle now and the timing details can be finalized closer to the match.

What Our Customers Say
“Got the party bus for my daughter's prom group. 22 kids, music at a reasonable volume, every stop on time, driver texted updates all night. As a dad that peace of mind was worth more than the bill.”
