Every Tour Includes
What You'll See, Stop by Stop
The Magnificent Mile
North Michigan Avenue from the river to the Drake — the Wrigley Building, Tribune Tower, the old Water Tower that survived the 1871 fire, and the shopping corridor in between. We time the drive so you can step out at the Water Tower or the riverfront for photos.
Lake Shore Drive & the lakefront
The eight-mile run along Lake Michigan past Oak Street Beach, North Avenue Beach, and the skyline view that postcards use. The eastbound approach into downtown at dusk is the single best skyline angle in the city, and the car can pull off at Museum Campus for the classic shot.
Museum Campus & Grant Park
The Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, and Adler Planetarium cluster on the lake, with Buckingham Fountain and Millennium Park's Cloud Gate a short hop north. Good for a stop-and-walk segment if your group wants out of the car for 20 minutes.
Neighborhoods most tours skip
Pilsen's 16th Street murals, Wicker Park's six-corners, the Pullman historic district, and Bronzeville's jazz-era landmarks. These are where a private vehicle beats a fixed bus route — the driver goes where your interest leads.
Navy Pier & the river
The pier, the Centennial Wheel, and the Riverwalk that runs under the bridges through the heart of downtown. We can drop for a walk along the water and circle back, or hold curbside while you ride the wheel.
Hyde Park & the South Side
The University of Chicago's Gothic quads, the Robie House, and the lakefront south of the Loop. About 20 minutes from downtown and a different city than the tourist core — worth the loop for repeat visitors.
Sample Two-Hour Route
A typical Skyline & Lakefront tour starts with a hotel or Airbnb pickup, runs north up the Magnificent Mile with a Water Tower photo stop, then drops onto Lake Shore Drive for the lakefront stretch. From there it loops through Museum Campus for the skyline-over-the-lake view, cuts into Millennium Park for Cloud Gate, and returns through the Loop past the Chicago Theatre and the river bridges.
The four-hour Full City Tour adds the neighborhoods — Pilsen murals, a Wicker Park stop, and a swing south toward Hyde Park or Pullman if your group is interested. Because the vehicle is private, none of this is fixed: tell the chauffeur you want more time at the lakefront and less in the Loop, and the route adjusts on the spot. Nothing is on a meter, so a longer stop at a favorite spot does not change the rate.
Picking the Right Vehicle & Season
For two people, a black sedan keeps the tour intimate and easy to park curbside at photo stops. Families of four to six are most comfortable in a Cadillac Escalade, which sits high enough for good window sightlines. Groups up to 14 take a Mercedes Sprinter van or a stretch limo — the Sprinter is the better pick for sightseeing because the tall windows and forward-facing seats make landmark-spotting easier than a stretch's lounge layout.
Season shapes the route. Late spring through early fall is peak for the lakefront and the beaches, with long daylight for evening skyline runs. Summer weekends bring festivals and lakefront events that affect Lake Shore Drive timing, so morning tours move faster. Fall adds color along the boulevards and through the parks. Winter tours lean indoors — Museum Campus, the holiday lights on the Magnificent Mile, and the State Street window displays — with the heated cabin between stops. We run year-round and adjust the plan to the conditions on the day.

What Our Customers Say
“Got the party bus for my daughter's prom group. 22 kids, music at a reasonable volume, every stop on time, driver texted updates all night. As a dad that peace of mind was worth more than the bill.”
