The clock starts at your scheduled pickup, not when the driver leaves the garage, and the quoted rate is locked at booking. For long itineraries with idle gaps — a wedding with a three-hour photo session, for example — ask dispatch about a flat package instead of straight hourly; it often works out cheaper.

The most common booking mistake is renting a limo that is too small once everyone is in formalwear. A vehicle rated for eight is comfortable for six adults in suits and gowns; the same car packed with eight and a cooler feels cramped. As a rule of thumb, book one size up from your head count. Six guests are happiest in the 14-passenger stretch SUV; a bridal party of ten fits a 20-passenger party bus far better than two separate stretch limos.

For corporate and airport work, the math is different. Three executives with carry-ons fit a sedan; six with checked bags need the SUV; a full team heading to a conference wants the Sprinter, which has standing headroom and luggage space the stretch limos do not.
