Ceremony-to-Dinner Routing

For a Chicago college graduation, the standard routing is ceremony venue → photo stop on the lakefront → dinner reservation. Most Northwestern, UChicago, Loyola, and DePaul ceremonies end mid-afternoon, with the dinner reservation booked for 6:30-7:30 PM. That gives the vehicle a 90-minute window for photo stops.

The Evanston car service is the typical graduation vehicle. The stretch limousine is the upgrade for larger families.

Northwestern, UChicago, and Loyola Pickup Spots

Pickup spots at major Chicago colleges: Northwestern (Welsh-Ryan Arena north entrance), UChicago (Rockefeller Memorial Chapel west entrance), Loyola (Gentile Arena south entrance), DePaul (Wintrust Arena west entrance), UIC (UIC Pavilion main entrance). All accept limos under the canopy with 10-minute load windows.

The fleet fits at all five. The book online in 60 seconds is the upgrade for graduations with 6+ family members.

Vehicle by Family Size

For a graduation, the family size determines the right vehicle. 2-4 family members plus the graduate: sedan. 4-6 family members: SUV. 6-10 family members across both sides of the family: Sprinter. 10+ if grandparents and cousins are coming: party bus or 26-passenger mini bus.

The book online in 60 seconds works for the smaller family count. The Evanston car service adds room for a bigger family without losing flight-time and dinner-reservation flexibility.

Typical Graduation Pricing

Our 2026 prom rates: stretch limo $205/hr (4-hr min), Sprinter Limo $189/hr (4-hr min), party bus $350/hr (4-hr min), before fuel, admin & card fees. Mon–Thu: save 10% automatically. Most prom bookings run 5-7 hours.

The full Evanston car service pricing is on the stretch limousine page. Total prom-night bills typically land between $1,100 and $2,200 depending on vehicle and hours.

Photo Stops on the Lakefront

Chicago wedding-day photo stops cluster in three areas. Olive Park and Milton Lee Olive Park give you skyline-over-water shots with the Lake Point Tower as backdrop. North Avenue Beach is wider and less crowded on weekday afternoons. Wrigley Square at Millennium Park is the classic colonnade shot, available year-round but blocked during major Park events.

Budget 25 minutes per photo stop including reposition and re-load. Three stops adds 75-90 minutes to the timeline. The fleet fits at all three. For a longer route with more variety, the book online in 60 seconds schedule includes time for golden-hour lakefront shots after the ceremony.

Graduation Booking Checklist

Prom booking checklist: (1) confirm exact prom address and start time, (2) build the pickup roster with addresses and order, (3) decide on photo stops, (4) confirm dinner reservation timing, (5) name a single parent point-of-contact, (6) pay deposit, (7) confirm 48 hours before the date.

The Evanston car service flow handles all 7 steps. For phone bookings, call (224) 801-3090 and we’ll walk through them. The stretch limousine flow is the same.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book a limo?

For Saturdays in May, June, September and October. Book 60-90 days out. For Friday corporate runs, 1-2 weeks is usually fine. For airport runs, 24-48 hours is the practical minimum during peak season.

Is the price quoted upfront or hourly?

Airport runs are almost always upfront rate. Event work (weddings, proms, nights out) is hourly with a 3-hour minimum on weekend evenings.

What’s included in the price?

Base rate + standard tolls, upfront with no gratuity added. Event parking is separate. Bottled water is standard in every Royal Carriage vehicle.

What if my plans change?

Free cancellation 24 hours out for most events. Inside 24 hours on a wedding or event date typically forfeits the deposit. Airport runs are more flexible.
