Working Chicago guide with current pricing, venue specifics, and the booking patterns Royal Carriage runs every weekend. Real numbers, no fluff.

Chicago Bachelorette Party

This is the working bachelorette party transportation guide we use internally at Royal Carriage. The numbers are current to 2026; the venues are real Chicago locations; the timing is what we actually see happen on Friday and Saturday nights across our fleet. Bookmark this before you book.

Plan the Route First

For a bachelorette weekend, the route is the booking. Map all stops in order, then count actual driving minutes between them. A 4-hour rooftop loop in River North can be 5-6 stops; a vineyard day can be 1-2 stops over 6 hours.

The Naperville limo is the typical urban vehicle. The Chicago party bus is the typical day-trip vehicle. Build the route first, then pick the vehicle that fits the stops and the hours.

Rooftop Bars Cluster (River North + West Loop)

The dense rooftop cluster in River North and West Loop puts 12 high-end bars inside a 1.5-mile radius. Cindy’s at Chicago Athletic Association, LH on the Wit, Cerise on Virgin Hotel, Drumbar at Raffaello, The J. Parker in Lincoln Park (slightly north). On a Saturday between 7pm and midnight you can hit 4-5 of these in a single 4-hour booking.

Use the Chicago party bus as your moving home base — leave coats, leave the photographer’s bag, regroup between stops. The Mercedes Sprinter is the right vehicle for groups of 8-12 doing this loop. Larger and you upgrade to a party bus.

Vineyard Day Trips

Cooper’s Hawk in Naperville is the most popular bachelorette day trip — 45 minutes from downtown, full tasting room, restaurant on-site. Acquaviva in Maple Park (1 hour west) has an actual outdoor patio overlooking the vines. Lynfred Winery in Roselle is the closest at 38 minutes from downtown and offers private tastings for groups of 8+.

For a 5-6 hour vineyard day, the wine tours is the comfort move — reclining seats, big windows, and a dedicated driver who knows the route. Add a downtown dinner stop on the way back and you have an end-to-end day. The fleet flow makes the round-trip booking simple.

Ready to lock the date? book online in 60 seconds or browse the fleet. Most quotes come back in under a minute.

“Got the party bus for my daughter’s prom group. 22 kids, music at a reasonable volume, every stop on time, driver texted updates all night.”

— Tony M., Naperville

Vehicle by Headcount

1-4 passengers with light luggage: sedan (Mercedes S-Class or Cadillac CT6). 4-6 passengers or heavier luggage: full-size SUV (Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator). 7-14 passengers with luggage: Mercedes Sprinter. 15-30 passengers: party bus or 26-passenger mini bus. 31+ passengers: motor coach.

When the group is on the edge between two vehicles (7 passengers — sedan or Sprinter?), default up. The price difference is small and the comfort difference is large. The Mercedes Sprinter is the most-booked option for 5-12 passenger groups. See the wine tours for full vehicle photos.

Budget and Tipping

For a 12-person bachelorette in a Sprinter for 5 hours, budget $850-1,100 for the vehicle plus 18-20% gratuity. For the same group on a party bus, budget $1,100-1,500 plus gratuity. Split among 12, that’s $80-115 per person all-in.

The Naperville limo flow shows the gratuity line on the quote. The Chicago party bus runs the same.

Booking Tips and Common Pitfalls

Book 8 weeks out for Saturday nights between May and October. Confirm exact pickup addresses 48 hours before the date — not the day of. Pad your start time by 30 minutes; Friday traffic from the suburbs into the Loop runs 25-40% longer than Google Maps predicts.

Name a single point of contact for the group. The driver should have one phone number, not seven. Pay the deposit on a card that has a high enough limit for the full balance — split-payment at the end of the night slows everyone down. For a one-touch booking, use the book online in 60 seconds flow or call (224) 801-3090 to lock the Naperville limo.

Talk to a real Chicago dispatcher. Call (224) 801-3090 or request a custom quote for a written same-day quote. Royal Carriage has run Chicago routes for 14+ years.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book a party bus?

For Saturdays in May, June, September and October — book 60-90 days out. For Friday corporate runs — 1-2 weeks is usually fine. For airport runs — 24-48 hours is the practical minimum during peak season.

Is the price flat or hourly?

Airport runs are almost always flat rate. Event work (weddings, proms, nights out) is hourly with a 3-hour minimum on weekend evenings.

What’s included in the price?

Base rate + standard tolls. Gratuity (15-20%) is typically added separately, as is event parking. Bottled water is standard in every Royal Carriage vehicle.

What if my plans change?

Free cancellation 24 hours out for most events. Inside 24 hours on a wedding or event date typically forfeits the deposit. Airport runs are more flexible.
